What are some sign of Dehydration?

Many first time mothers who breastfeed always voices their concerns on how would I know if their baby is dehydrated. This can be a tricky thing to tell, but for sure there are ways to tell. If you ever feel concerned you can always consults your children's pediatrician. There is no harm in checking in with your doctor or even a Certified Lactation Consultant.


Below is a list of signs that your baby may be dehydrated:


  • Fewer than 2 wet diapers in 24 hours

  • Dry mouth

  • Fever or less active

  • No tears when crying

  • Skin that is wrinkled

  • Baby not behaving as normal

  • Heart beating faster than usual

  • Eyes look sunken in
